For the shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the asparagus:
- 1 lb fresh asparagus trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic minced
- Salt and pepper to taste

For the shrimp:
In a mixing bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 5-10 minutes.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
For the asparagus:
In the same skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Add the asparagus and cook for 5-7 minutes, tossing occasionally, until crisp-tender. Season with salt and pepper.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss with the asparagus to combine. Serve immediately, garnished with extra lemon zest or parsley if desired.
